Appearance:

With a size of 28-44 mm and a bright red-brown color, this is a very large cockroach. Males have very long wings, whereas females just cover their abdomen with them. Both sexes are very agile and able to fly.

American cockroach

Oothecae with 6-28 eggs are carried around for a few days before being glued together in groups. The nymphs reach hatching maturity in 1-2 months, while their development varies between 5-15 months.

Way of life:

The nocturnal omnivores are mainly found in buildings, sewers and cellars, but also in pipes and risers.
