Appearance:

There are numerous different species of centipede. Depending on the species, they can grow to between 5-75 mm in size. Their flat bodies consist of many segments, each of which has a pair of legs. The number of pairs of legs is therefore between 15-90 and depends on the size of the animal.

Reproduction:

The female lays the eggs in groups and cares for them until the young hatch.

Way of life:

The predator runs very fast and also reaches inaccessible places in the house. Damp places are preferred as they have no waxy outer skin and can dry out quickly. Only tropical species are poisonous.
