House mouse

The large head with large ears and eyes, which are very striking in comparison to the small paws, are striking. The body is 7-9 cm long, with tail up to 18 cm. House mice weigh between 12-30g.

Reproduction:

Up to 16 young per litter are possible 7-8 times a year. The gestation period is 3 weeks. House mice become sexually mature at 8-12 weeks.

Way of life:

Living on the ground, but also able to climb and survive without water, the house mouse is undemanding. It consumes up to 3g of food per day and prefers cereals.
