Although moths are not a danger to your health, they are a danger to your clothing and home textiles. You usually only discover moth infestations when flying moths are circling in the room. By then, however, the damage to your fabrics has already occurred because it is carried out by the larvae. If you have an established moth problem, you should not rely on commercially available preparations and seek expert help.
Identification of a moth infestation
You discover damaged clothing. However, moths crawling across the floor, maggot-like larvae, pupae and pods that resemble caterpillar cocoons, holes in household textiles and a “mothy smell” are also indicative of moths. Damaged carpets do not necessarily have to be moths, although they cannot be completely ruled out.
