Nests

You can treat individual wasps or hornets with special sprays. If you discover wasps or hornets frequently and in large numbers in your house or garden, there is a nest in the immediate vicinity. Exercise caution when controlling wasps and hornets. They often attack in swarms and their stings are particularly painful.

You can recognize a wasp nest by its enormous size and the fact that it is made of chewed wood, which is reminiscent of a paper-like surface. Construction begins in spring, so that a wasp nest can reach a diameter of 30 cm by summer. Wasps like to build their nests under roofs in particular, but also in sheds and barns. A nest is home to thousands of wasps, which react immediately to threats and attack in swarms. For this reason, wasp nests should be removed immediately.
