Appearance:

At 25-30 mm in size and dark brown to black in color, Oriental cockroaches are very large. Females do not have wings, whereas they cover 3/4 of the male’s body. However, they also hardly fly and move mainly on nimble feet.

Reproduction:

The nymphs hatch from 16 eggs after 2 months and are fully grown after 5-9 months.

Way of life:

Lives mainly in buildings, but can also be found on garbage dumps due to its insensitivity to cold. Oriental cockroaches are nocturnal omnivores.
